Beyond busy: what does 'enough' mean for you?
How do we redefine 'enough' in business, replacing relentless busyness with purpose, culture, and positive impact on our journey to a sustainable future?

A question asked on a recent call stopped me in my tracks: "Are you busy, enough?"
It prompted me to reflect on our cultural badge of honour – busyness and constant growth. My client’s question gets to the heart of sufficiency – what does ‘enough’ really mean for each of us and our organisations?
What if enough means realigning around purpose and consciously shaping organisational culture for positive impact? What if enough gives us the time and space to concentrate on what's important – allowing us to make a bigger impact? Maybe less really can be more?
Over 20 years advising organisations, I once believed marketing was about glossy branding and sales. Yet time and again I saw disconnects between slick messaging and lived purpose. I felt disillusioned.
Until learning of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in 2018.
Imagine if marketing could drive social and environmental justice? I had a lightbulb moment about my own purpose and vowed to advance a ‘doing well by doing good’ business agenda.
Relinquishing 'success at any cost'
The climate crisis and inequality waves testify to systems optimised at any cost for endless economic growth – consequences of a broken system failing people and planet. But progress follows purpose, with conscious business leading the way.
With the usual year-end appeals to sell more or accelerate growth, I’m asking you to pause and consider whether my services could help determine what ‘enough’ looks like for you and your organisation next year.
Amplify impact through purpose and culture
My approach helps purpose-led organisations anchor their reason for being, while consciously shaping a culture that allows teams to thrive delivering on that shared purpose so that they become known for the good they do.
My clients want to lead, to make a difference, to step up and stand out with their organisation. They hire me to make it happen through purpose, culture, brand and impact - the alignment that gets results.
I love guiding purpose-led organisations awakened to the world’s crises but seeking a clear path forward. Helping teams clarify their shared purpose, then relaying that authentically in conscious culture and branding – inside and out – to guide business and life choices.
Moving from busy-ness to purposefulness. From endless growth to focusing on fulfillment for people within planetary boundaries.
Could focusing there help us discover what ‘enough’ means to lead and accomplish what matters for your organisation?
Purpose over busyness in 2024!
