Are we standing at a turning point in history?

As we face 2024 head on, I’ve been thinking about the energy I want to embrace to best serve conscious leaders like yourself. This season of renewal offers us the much-needed space to re-envision how we want to show up with purpose in the world.

Looking ahead with fearless possibility

This time last year, when I chose enough as my ‘word of the year’, it captured my feelings on what a sustainable livelihood meant for me – balance and moderation. Similarly, as leaders building a better world, we must walk our talk when it comes to thriving sustainably.

I’m a self-confessed planner, more comfortable when I can see what’s ahead! Yet as the pace of life accelerates and expands, I can struggle to stay centred. So this year, I intentionally put my action plan aside and sat with this question — what energy and outlook do I most want to carry into 2024?

What emerged for me was embracing fearless possibility — leaning into curiosity and hope about the future by staying open to the unknown rather than try to control it. I feel excited about what positive change we might collectively create if we consciously shape the days ahead.

Decoding 2024’s energy

Guided by my friend and mentor Nick Haines, founder of the Five Institute I’m fascinated by ancient Chinese wisdom and symbolic patterns that speak to this era of tension and disruption we are living in. Based on Chinese philosophy, 2024 is a year of the Wood Dragon and offers energising potential for visionary dreams that disrupt failed conventions of the past.

As tensions escalate worldwide across economics, the climate crisis, politics and social cohesion, we stand at a pivotal point for conscious leaders to question the drivers stoking this unrest.

How do we find the moral courage for remarkably reimagining the future?

Historically, these Wood Dragon years have been catalysts for radical reform movements, as people demand change to longstanding systemic issues. Could we see charismatic trailblazers gaining influence, or grassroots activism snowballing to push reimagined solutions?

Perhaps 2024’s fiery Wood Dragon fuel will spark breakthrough transformation?

Realising ambitious dreams will still require wisdom, compromise and compassion. By harnessing this vibrant energy constructively, 2024 can accelerate innovation for those purpose-driven leaders bold and resilient enough to ride unpredictable waves of change.

The path of progress will not be smooth. Yet purpose-rooted organisations demonstrate resilience amidst turbulence when focused on service and conscious culture alignment. My approach: clarity through simplicity

Frankly, the prospect of a turbulent year could overwhelm me if I lost perspective! Over the years of running my purpose-driven consultancy business, I’ve come to value a straightforward approach offering clarity amidst complexity.

Last year, I even dissolved my Limited company structure to operate as a solo business with versatility and resilience. Streamlined simplicity allows me to support mission-driven leaders, conscious businesses and impact organisations on their purpose journey regardless of outside unpredictability.

My methodology stays simple yet cuts through noise using my methodical Purpose | Way | Impact™ framework, refined over many years guiding conscious organisations. I bring pragmatic wisdom and bespoke guidance informed by these core values:
